Chips

Took the S4 in to get a full exterior detail today. (There was a nice black S4 in there too) but anyway, got her home and into the garage and noticed a crap load of chips in my windshield! Not sure how the got there and I'm pretty sure they weren't there before! Not trucks in front of me lately so I'm not sure! [o_o]

That sucks. If they are not too deep, a good glass shop might be able to fix, otherwise, hit the windshield with a tree branch, then leave it laying there, take 1 picture, and call the insurance company [o_o]

As a side not, I only clicked this thread because I expected to see "What is the best chip?" and I was going to respond "Tostitos hint of lime!"

I have a bag of those in the kitchen! They are the best! They don't appear to be too deep but what do I know.

Does the detailer do body work too? I've definitely seen the "shower of grinding sparks land on glass" scenario before.

Anyhow,got a little windshield chip like the 2nd week I got the car but it's on center lower portion and visible if I eyeball.Have quite a few more now so it sucks and it's unavoidable but you learn to live with it.
