I'm getting the Unitronic+1 tune and was wondering about the fueling limits of the stock pump and injectors. It's my understanding that the stock injectors can support up to about 16psi of boost. Is there a boost limit set for the Unitronic 1+ tune? Is it set to accomodate larger injectors? Since it's set to run 18psi, do I need to upgrade my injectors?

Short answer

1. yes your car will go lean starting around 12 psi and lean out further as your boost and rpm increase.

2. No you can not really compensate with the mods listed above.

3. this leaning out will not hurt the engine. it is rare that the car will see the upper limits unless your in WOT all the time.

Okay so how lean are we talking? 14's 15's AFR? And what needs to be done to maintain a good AFR with the psi the tune is programmed for?

Yes, our software runs 16PSI and is tuned utilizing the stock fueling. It is not meant to be run with larger injectors. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any further questions or concerns!
