I can't seem to find a nice leather key fob cover for the 2013 S4. I liked the simple BMW leather cover I had previously for my 2008 3 series. Any suggestions for something similar for the new GIANT fob?

Yea I saw that one. I like it but I'm concerned it won't fit the new key which is longer and the "loop" goes across the top rather than two smaller ones on the sides like the key in that picture.

Why on earth do you need a purse for your key?

So the key doesn't get scratched up in my pocket and it doesn't scratch up my iPhone in the same pocket. With some of the OCD on this forum, this surprises you?
Why the hell would someone buy a Subaru? JK LOL

or buy a $60k+ toyota? ;)
Coming from the guy with an Aztek.. Haha.. Edit: "A" Sequoia is one of the most functional "giant" suv's around. Totally worth it.
for sure. i was just kidding..my dad had a sequoia before he got his land cruiser. these cars really are built like tanks. toyota is one of the very few companies that knows how to build a real suv.

I am using this case from Braun Buffel which works in preventing my key fob from falling apart when I drop it. Fits nicely to the FL key fob.

The key is already too big as is. Don't need a cover for it. Not for me at least.
Covers shown here look great though. :)
I have never liked leather cases for anything. My key it attached to my mailbox, building, and apartment keys. You all keep your normal keys separate from your car key?

If the OP wants a leather case for his, keys help him find one. He's not telling everyone else that they should get one. Different stroke for different folks. BTW, I have no need for one myself.

Absolutely! Never felt right putting additional keys with the fob. Adding keys is also the best way to scratch the shit out of your fob and your dash.

Yes. Let me know how that one fits with the new key. Pictures!
Thanks.
I was concerned about the keys messing with my dash but its been a year and nothing there. I only have three keys with my fob not a whole mess like some people. I know I would forget either my fob or my house keys in my apartment and would have to walk a upstairs from the car if it they were not together lol.

Here's a couple from Osir that I don't think are too bad. They're slim in style, pretty stylish and simple, and still protect your fob in case you have butter fingers.
OSIR - Muzzero Key Fob Cover V2

This one is probably my favorite. Although it doesn't protect the entire fob (chrome side), it's still sleek and clean. Protects more than not.

Thats now my second choice if the red stitched one doesn't fit the new key well. Thanks.

Not to mention they are actually pretty quick for the size and weight. Love ours, and its fun watching the gas gauge go down as I get on the highway. [drive]

Too lazy to quote..
1. I never used the leather cover key on my BMW. Gave that one to my mom to hold onto the second key.
2. I have dropped my key many time and it never "broke". Pretty hard to break this key imo.
3. I don't have any keys with my car key. Call me paranoid, if someone hijacks my car, at least they don't have my house keys. And since I don't have advance key, it is annoying to have something dangling there, even if it is just my condo's remote.
4. I put my key with my phone all the time, don't see how it can scratch it. It doesn't have sharp edges and my phone has gorilla glass and a screen protector.
5. Between the two choices, I think the second one is better. Unless the first one just got a bad picture, it looks pretty worn already. Osir one is even bigger waste imo. If you want a key cover, I would go with the second one, at least it looks somewhat classy.

I think the OP (at least I am) is more interested in protecting the FOB than making it look cool or classy.
The second will require you to remove the key every time you need to use it no?

Apparently in Asia if you buy a Audi it comes with it, see photo i attached from a friend's purchase. OEM too.

Umm, not sure about that. It depends how it is made. The BMW one I had, you could press the buttons even with it and it is pouch/purse like, quite similar to the 2nd one there.
Like I said though... the key is quite tough... sure the shiny part might get swirl marks... so maybe you can buff it out when you detail your car. [:D]

I have it and it's about 1/2 inch longer than it needs to be for my 2011 key. Won't last you more than 6 months as the edges start coming apart.

Umm, any link to purchase that? That is just about perfect for what I'm looking for. I have the advanced key so I really never need to press any buttons.I'm just looking for a little protection for the fob in my pocket regardless of whether or not some of you are or aren't looking for the same :)

My key and iPhone with no case or bumper are in my pocket 10-14 hours a day there's no issues. I've actually had 2 iPhones in my pocket for the past couple of weeks.

I believe they are for pre-2013. The clear one might work, but I wouldn't be able to say for sure. You'll have to compare the 2 fobs in person. According to pictures I've seen, it's possible that it would work to cover the buttons, but no guarantees.

these are similar to the osir but have better coverage. it looks like the only difference with the new 2013 key is the removal key blade portion. the body looks identical.

i wonder if you could order the old style key blanks to get a smaller key. less than $20 for a five pack, but you would need a locksmith to cut it.

My boss is on vacation and left me his phone so I can take care of his customers. It's a burden having 2 phones not a gift.
