At 55mph I'm getting a shaking/shimmey in the steering. Had the dealership do a 4 wheel rebalance and rotation and still there as bad as before. Anyone have this issue? It's a 12' with 9k on the ODO. It's not terrible but enough to be annoying... Through turns it goes away and comes back in straight cruise.

Outer tie rod end. Just had the same problem on my B5.

I read this is a problem on the B8 chassis. I have it show up a little as well in the 60mph range, then disappear at 65 and above. Just make sure you get a real good balance on the wheels, that helped with almost all of it on my car. Im sure my aftermarket wheels amplify it a tad bit more.

i had the same issue when i sold my OEM wheels for 20" hartmann. after 2 visits to get them balanced, I took them to a shop that had the road force balancer. all the shimmy is gone.

Yeah it's weird - shimmey at 55, gone at 60, there at 65, comes and goes... sometimes I don't notice it at all, sometimes I do... I'll have the dealership re-balance perhaps... glad (or not) that this seems to be a common issue.
