so i have a 2003 A4, going to replace stock HU. And i see the kit on sites like Crutchfield with my HU are far cheaper than on enfig.com. is there a difference in quality? Thanks!

Also same goes for wiring harness. I have a non-bose also.

Installed! Kenwood DDX719 with SiriusXM tuner.

I went with the Enfig kit because it's easily removable. The Crutchfield kit is from Metra, and from what I've heard it's a pain in the a** to get out without destroying it. It's possible, but not fun. And the Enfig kit matches the "rubbery" feel of the dash, whereas the Metra kit is just plastic. IMO, it was worth the extra expense.

cool, thats what i was wondering, was about the finish of the plastic, i would like it to match as much as possible. Which wiring harness did you use?

The Enfig dash kit definitely matches better than the Metra. I had both of them side by side.

I used the PAC Audio harness, but I've got a Bose setup.

Yup just pop the cover off and use the radio removal keys included with the kit.

so you use the keys with the aftermarket kit? i am assuming on the side of the HU where the new metal brackets go?

added pic of final install. Everything seems to work well, the rear speakers work fine, even if they arent as loud as the front.

[up]

We are working with our supplier to see what we can come up with for that problem. The output from the radios RCA is too low.
