There is oilly stuff dripping out of my mirror, it is the auto dimming setup. Any ideas as to why this is happening. The bottom of the mirror has a darker portion then the top. It wasnt hit or broken and i know nothing about how it works or if it has oil like stuff in it. Any ideas appreciated.

I believe that most auto dimming mirrors actually use an LCD. This may have cracked and or started leaking, and that could be what you see seaping out.

Just a thought to get you started.

Remove it now!! that stuff can fk up your paint, don't get it on your hands and get it off your car asap. Just use a screw driver or prybar to unclip it. really easy to remove. Use a bunch of tape or something to prevent damage to the paint when prying...

The rearview mirrors twist off. Just put a bag over it and twist it off. Prying against your windshield could be bad for your wallet.
