Subject - BMW M5
Requirements - Wet sand imperfections and lots and lots of Paint Correction

Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adam’s All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Washed with 1Z einszett W99
- Aquartz Iron Cut
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Wetsanding
- Meg's M105 with Surbuf Pad - Griots Orbital
- Meg's D300 with Microfiber DA Cut Pad - Griots Orbital
- Menzerna SF4000 with Uber Green Pad - Griots Orbital
- Sonax Premium Class Carnauba Wax
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed

This cars paint was absolutely destroyed in person before Phil got his hands on it. Great job as always, saw before and after in person on a regular basis. The paint was night and day difference after some love from Phil and his staff. Thanks as always, and see you soon Phil!

Absolutely amazing results, Phil, as always! Just wondering, how many times could a correction like that be done? Given a paint gauge is beyond most hobbyists, is there a rule of thumb or are there too many variables? If only German paint, would that narrow it down?

I'm not considering wet-sanding, but something like Power Finish once a year ... is that too much?

to be honest I don't like wet sanding however this one was necessary, we did disclose this to the owner and he was okay with it, he was considering repainting the areas that were damaged with the heavy etching.

so if you have oem paint I would not wet sand.

you can however with an orbital polisher go to surbuf and m105 if needed to clean up the heavy imperfections. I would say a few times a year would be okay however proper maintenance should prevent this.

Oh, no nothing like 105, maybe PF once a year with SF maybe twice a year so sounds like no problem for me on Audi paint? Was just wondering about the wet-sand and just how much comes off with it.

if done incorrectly you can damage your paint, it depends on heavy handed you are.
