Im intrested in buying this car, we worked out a deal of 9,800. Its a 2000 1.8t with every package except cold. It however has 70k miles. All services have been done to date including tbelt job. Just let me know what you guys think.

I just got a '98 with every package and only 57k miles for $9.5k Granted there were a few scratches on the bumpers, but otherwise the car is in awesome condition.

Great deal for sure. Now, what the heck is that dancing avatar? Looks like a dude.....

05-16-2005, 12:36 PM
thats an awesome deal 2000 and 2001 there is a noticable price hop in 2000 and 2001's compared to 99.5 and below

05-16-2005, 01:38 PM
Right thats a killer deal. I just paid almost 13 for a 2000 with 60K and all the service records. But I am in New England and Audi prices are crazy up here.

05-16-2005, 01:53 PM
Im so psyched guys, its been to long since my last audi, a 96 12valver lol. And driving my brothers nogaro S makes me miss the cars that much more. Ill have this puppy home tonight.

O my avatar lol, its the guy that ebaums photoshopped on all sorts of things. Thought it was funny.

05-16-2005, 02:11 PM
LOL! It's great, just gotta blot out the face and it's good! LOL!

05-16-2005, 02:42 PM
That is a good deal...make sure it hasn't been used in a crime first.

05-16-2005, 07:54 PM
Is it a manual or a tip? Black leather inside? Looks exactly like mine, except my windows are darker and I have no A4 badging.

I paid $16,600 for my 2001 1.8TQMS in december with 60K. The car is still worth what i paid for it and i've put 10K on her. Debadge it. Quick and easy DIY.

05-16-2005, 08:56 PM
I paid $13,500 for my 2001 1.8TQM with all the packages in February with 58k. These cars really vary depending on area. I thought I got a good deal on mine, but <$10,000 for a 2000 is a steal!

well, just checked out the car. It ran well but the tbelt job actually wasnt done and the front and rear bumper will need to be repainted from city scratches. Also it is a 5spd. Let me know if you guys think its still worth it.

Audi A4 1.8T

how bad is the bumpers.. u can do the timing belt yourself in one day... if the bumpers arent taht bad then i say go for it

05-17-2005, 07:14 AM
they will need to be repainted thats for sure, the fronts not as bad as the rear but its very noticable from any distance.

05-17-2005, 09:54 AM
I think it's still a good deal. $9800 + $300 for tbelt DIY + $? for repainting bumpers. Still less than what I paid, and I need to do my tbelt soon.

05-17-2005, 11:09 AM
yeah you could pry do the bumpers yourself too :) since the front will be for if you do your own timing belt and if you do the front I see no point in not spraying the back at the same time.

I would still go with it

My friend works at a good body shop, hes gonna do the bumper and rear on the side for 200-300 including lowers and a lip spoiler.

Anyone in jersey able to come out to Linden Station this weekend? I will buy you a beer or lunch afterwards, just for you looking it over and driving it and ill bring my Vag with me. Thanks all.

Welcome back. We need to get the Lehigh Valley members together for a gtg!

Your avatar is really disturbing me today :D

05-17-2005, 11:21 AM
Definately pick it up if you can get the bumpers repainted for $200-300. Awesome deal.

05-17-2005, 11:34 AM
Ok my avatar is changed lol no more sexy dancing shemale.

Again beer n lunch for someone helpful who can come out and check out this car with me this weekend.

take it to an Audi dealer, have them look it over.

Then try to work him down even further on the price, that is what i would do. I bought my 99.5 A4 Q M with 60k on it for $14.5, so given if you can get the price down even further, go fur it man.

EDIT: and i paid that much and it didn't have the t-belt done,

sorry to thread jack, but i just rolled over 80,000 and i still haven't done the T-belt, am i playing with fire?

05-17-2005, 12:45 PM
i got him down to 9,700. just need someone to come with me if possible, to Linden NJ, because i never had a 1.8t and my brother drives an S so its a bit different as to what to look for.

look at the maintnece recors... look for wearing tie rod ends... make sure guages work right and all the pixels light up. main thing is the mainece records

05-18-2005, 01:19 PM
if tie rods werent done, and arnt making noise. whats the average cost of repairing them when they go, granted every audi is going to need them at some point.
