Hello to all,

I just purchased a B7 RS4 and I am picking it up today. I can't tell you how excited I am. Sorry no pics yet, since I know everyone loves pictures. Anyway I have tried searching a little bit with not much luck (probably just me). Anyway I am sure there are posting all over this site about ipod integration but I am in search of a good one. My car has the stock system with navigation but no Ipod. I had the Dice unit in my 2004 A4 (hence the user name) but the quality wasn't the greatest. That was years ago I got it installed and I am sure things have changed. Anyways any info would be much appreciated, especially those who have had an aftermarket ipod integration put in. Thanks

I've been using the Dension Gateway 300 (iPod/Aux/USB interface) on my A3 for 2.5 years. Easy to install, and it works pretty well. However, I've never used its iPod interface -- just the USB.

Enfig sells the Gateway 300, as well as several other Dension & non-Dension solutions; check them out.

Is it possible to get the ipod connector from the dealership?

Probably; if your car has MMI, I believe it has AMI built-in and all you need would be the cable. Check out iamaudi.com -- they're also in Portland, and have several articles on AMI/MMI.

The dension GW16AC1 or GW33AC1 are your best bets.

There are some videos on the bottom of this page.

Yeah I watched the video, and it looks pretty amazing. Being able to search like you can on your ipod would be awesome and you can do it from your controls on your steering wheel from what I can tell. Anyone else use this? just curious about sound quality. I will be buying one of these in the next week or so. Thank you Christian.

Dension used to make the OEM units. (not officially but if you look at the unit itself you can tell). Their components and sound quality are 2nd to none.
