View Full Version : Audi 3G MMI iPod Playlist Reset on Startup?

Is anyone else having this issue? I've searched but couldn't find something specific...

If I have my iPod playing a certain playlist, shut the car off and leave then start the car back up later (same day or not, doesn't matter) 1 out of 8 times it will not continue playing from the same playlist, let alone the same song. It will start from the first playlist and song in my iPod. I have to then browse back to the playlist and song I want to listen to from before. This has now happened over a dozen times since I connected my iPod Nano to the car. I've restored the Nano to try and fix the problem but that didn't help.

This isn't a "shuffle" or "mix" problem/reset as some others have noted.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm also experiencing the same problem.... Gets pretty irritating! I'll be watching this tread, hopefully there is some kind of solution...

This is all of a sudden happening more often. I've noticed it happens when the MMI system takes a long time to boot up (maybe it resets?) and thus it starts from the beginning of my iPod playlists and not from my last position.

I liken this issue to the fact that when in nav - map mode the system will sometimes start back up to the map and sometimes it will start back to the nav - route screen. It's totally random and starting to get really frustrating!

Anyone else having issues like this or noticing?

There was an iPod nano that suffered from this. I think it was 3 or 4 gen. Did it with all the systems.

I have a 5th generation iPod Nano. Any reports there? It is still doing it after a full restore/software upgrade. Audi said that it is iPod related and unfortunately I don't have another one I can leave in the car.

I went back into my email history and found the E-mail form 4/2011 the problem was with the 5th gen nano. I think its was a hardware problem.
