My turbo is starting to make the dentist drill noise and I'm afraid it's on it's way out. So to add to the long list of problems to fix on my car, I would like to replace the CHRA before it explodes. Here's some background info as to my setup:Here (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/273747-Look-what-FedEx-Brought-today)

I bolted this on 3 years and 60,000 miles ago and have been more than happy with the results. I guess I'm just getting confused as to which exact one is in this turbo, does it require a different trim or anything else? I did some searching but could only find a similar post for a gt2871 elim which should have an different CHRA:So-I-blew-my-2871R-Eliminator (http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/429125-So-I-blew-my-2871R-Eliminator)

Is it this:CHRA-GT28RS (http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=CHRA-GT28RS&Category_Code=CHRA)
or this:CHRA-GT2560R (http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=CHRA-GT2560R&Category_Code=CHRA)
or something different?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It should be the GT28rs CHRA. Can you read the plate on yours?.

Yea, 707160-5 but I'm confused as to what it really is since it's a gt28 but the number on the tag is gt2560r. Is it really that simple?

Its weird, the eliminator i have sitting on the shelf, bought used, but originally from 034 has a gt2860rs chra. But according to this threadhttp://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/430544-GTRS-28R-or-2860RS you may or may ot have a 2560 chra, i can't tell.

Also on the link for the gt28rs chra, there is a little check box for your chra,

Want to upgrade to a 2871R elim? Message me.

Thanks, but in all my searching, I've found that there's a split between 71r and 60r due to the turbo lag. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't have a 2.5" exhaust so I don't think I'll see more HP gains by upgrading (damn borla is 2.25"). I'm hoping I can pick up a new CHRA for under $600. I'm gonna contact Turbosdirect or ATPturbo to see what they have.

Just FYI for anybody who is interested, ATPturbo sells this CHRA for about $450. They quoted me $472.57 shipped to 43220.

Edit:

Sorry, this price is with their exchange program. Glad, I now have a second car to DD.

Turbos Direct quoted me $380 for an exchange. Looks like I'll be going this route instead.
