Can you run these tires on a 2006 A4 Quattro with their load rating?

You need to do 245/35-19 XL only. The 235 is too small to have enough load capacity to be safe, and would most likely be very prone to sidewall bubbles / blowouts if used.

^ Does this go for all 235/35/19 tires?

When I configure through tire rack, using a custom size of 235/35/19 (for a 2008 A4), it lists several 235/35 tires that will work for my car.

Is this correct even though they all show a load index of 91/load range of XL?

I'm looking at the General G-MAX AS-03 (91W-XL), but I need a 235/35 for clearance.

When you shop for tires in a "custom size" online, the website no longer checks the tire size selected to see if load (or diameter or rim size) is appropriate or not (We then check the order manually before shipping to see if it is safe or not). Per Audi, any tire that goes on the car has to have a 93 load index or higher (period).

Michelen SS only show 91 load, but list it as XL...what gives?
