First trouble was finding one. Now that I have mine picked out I am bringing it to the shop tomorrow. I am also dealing with a aftermarket warranty (not recomended) so it is a hastle making them pay for it

I should be up and running soon. The 21st im Dynoing so i really want to get this finished

I know Rob tell me about it, I got mine with 70k on it, and got a 6mth warrnety, this is by no means a easy mod, but it will be worth it in the end.:)

From what I have found, the DJP can be found in 2.8's from 97-2001.

Here is a link for those that are looking for a 2.8 trans.

click here (http://car-part.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?userSearch=int&userPID=1000&userLocation=All+States&userIMS=&userInterchange=C%3DDD%3E&userSide=&userDate=2000&userDate2=2000&dbModel=6.7.1.1&userModel=Audi%20A4&dbPart=400.1&userPart=Transmission&sessionID=623&sURL=car-part.com&userPreference=price&userUID=0&userBroker=&iKey=&userPage=2)

Mike, what code are u using? I got the DJP becuase it was a the code i was told was in the newer 30valve and would work for sure. But just to clear this up before install, the only thing i have to change is put the 1.8 mounts on the 2.8 housing and thats it? thank..

Not sure which one I have, but I can always check when I go to put my race pipe back on. Yes the only thing you need to do is put the trans mount from your 1.8 onto the 2.8 trans. If your 2.8 trans came with mounts, you can just take off the driverside(left) mount and install the driverside mount from your 1.8t. The reason is that the 2.8 uses the same mount on both sides, while the 1.8 has a funny looking mount on driveside which has a big rubber piece with a nut in the middle.

I got a 2.8 Tranny out of a 96 12V. Anyone know if this will work on my 00 1.8T? I sure as hell hope so.

SWEET. Now I just gotta tear it out of the car and get it to my buddys tranny shop to have it rebuilt. It has 90K on it and still works good but I wanna have it rebuilt just for peace of mind. My brother was saying he was gonna do a side job and the guy could prob rebuild it in exchange for some electrical work.

Most of the ndbw are DJP or DJR, the ones from the dbw cars are DWM.
