Any other suggestions. Need daily, city, drivability and handle the added power of stage one. While staying relatively low in cost.

you don't need a new clutch, stock can handle it just fine! total cost $0

Yes, you can stick with the stock clutch. I have only heard a couple of cases where people had some clutch slipping after going stage 2+. So no worries with stage 1. I have been Uni stg 1+ for almost a year and a half with zero clutch slippage.

Like mentioned above, you should be fine. But if you do upgrade, dont go with APR. Vast has the best prices for the best performing aftermarket clutches.

Oem clutches do go bad even in unmodified vehicles. Depends on driver, milage, driving style, etc. mine was chipped for near 30 k miles before I had to replace it at 115 k ish.

Haha, just looked at APR's site. Lol @ $525 for their stage 1 clutch. I paid $475 for Vast's stage 3 clutch!

^ this. OP go vast stg 2 or 3 if you want a new clutch. I'm running their stg2 and absolutely love it. Do be prepared to shell about $650 +/- in labor tho.

Hows the feel of the peddle? Is it significantly more difficult to daily drive?
When I do upgrade my clutch I'm worried about going above st2 strictly for the drivability concerns.

My oem clutch is shot, I drive it like i stole it most days. My GF learned how to drive stick on it and half the time im in SF which is 80% stop signs. Slipping pretty bad so i looked around and all i want is the drivability of a stage 1 clutch. stg 2 & 3 are far to grabby for my needs.

It is very drivable. I kept the oem flywheel too. Killed it the very first time I drove it once. Was completely used to it (not perfected though) in one day. Biggest difference is engagement point. Slightly stiffer, but not gonna make a difference in the city. There has never once been a circumstance I didn't like this clutch.

Everyone I've seen get a vast clutch so far has been impressed with pedal feel and engagement. Including myself.
The systems are great, the prices are cheap and right now you can take advantage of the vast sale

Off topic, but thought id ask since you're in sf.. How many miles do you get per full tank? I commute 6 days a week from daly city into sf (haight area), and i avg around 280-290 per tank..i dont really drive agressive but am wondering if its that low because of all the stops..im stage 2 if that means anything.

I'm stage two as well and have found that no matter how I drive I get 280-300 a tank in sf. It's brutal with those stop signs. If I'm driving in the north bay I get upwards 450-500 per tank driving normally. 300-350 driving quickly.
