Upgrading the pedals in my A4

looking to upgrade the pedals in my 6spd 2007 A4... I do a few track days a year, so alittle bit easier with the heel-toe would be nice however daily driving is still its number 1 duty. There are so many options and price ranges out there. Would like some feedback.

I'm not a huge RS4 pedal fan because they are very OEM (sizing wise) and mainly just asthetic.

AWE pedal set, however its just covers per say. i may be wrong but i think ECS also makes them. I have no experience with any of them because it would be just asthetics which my feet dont tend to give a shit about.

Yeah, not actual pedals, simply pedal "covers" if you will. Many companies make them same or close to the OEM specs for asthetic improvements, but I know others make them a bit wider or atleast specifically wider on the left side of the accelerator pedal and to the right of the brake pedal to help with heel-toe

I always find this topic odd... I always find German car's brake and gas pedals to be too close. I guess my 14's have something to do with that. On my brother's 328, I have to wear really narrow shoes, or drive barefoot...

I use the AWE set for the same reason. I track my car and had a heck of a time with heal toe and my size 8 feet. Since these pedals, heal toe has been a breeze. I can post a pick but I think there are a bunch out there already. For what it's worth, I went with the gun metal finish and have been using them for over 2 years now. Holding up well. Great product.

I been thinking about buying a set direct from Audi. You have to ask for RS6 brake pedal and A3 gas pedal. Total cost about $50.. but is it really worth it? I mean the chinese ones are about same price so but they come with matching dead panel.
Is it worth it to just get brake and gas and no dead panel? My interior is gray - and dead panel comes only in black, so that's why I'm doubting it. Anybody?

All the aftermarket pedals I found on google bring the acceleration pedal up to the same level of brake pedal. This would make hill-toe much easier, the oem gas pedal is way lower than brake pedal.

I have the ECS version. I got them for better heal-toe positioning as well. I am quite happy with them.

The OEM pedal height remains the same. My gas pedal is about 1-1/2" lower than the brake. Brake and clutch are the same height.

I don't have a problem with the gas pedal being lower. I don't begin to heal & toe until after I have started braking. By that time the brake has moved to the same height as the gas.

Some notes:


I offset the brake and gas pedal closer together by 1/8" each when installing.
The rubber nubs fall out. I've lost 3 or 4. Some people have had luck gluing them in first. I'd do that if I knew where to get more.
The ECS and AWE price is about the same. The ECS package includes a spring loaded automatic punch. Handy if you don't already have one.
You can see the scuff marks on both the brake and clutch pedals. I would take this into consideration if looking at anodized pedals.
The RS4 pedals don't appear to add any width to the existing OEM pedal.
Good dry traction. OK wet weather traction with rubber soles.

I've got RS4 pedals in my B6 and I love them. I mainly got them because the stock rubber ones were glazed over on top and squeaked like mothers. I wouldn't say they've changed my life but they look nice and don't squeak! My g37 had sweet pedals, wish the rubber on the RS4s was a bit softer/grippier...

I got the grid pattern in black/silver. They look really sporty, and have excellent grip, much more so than the ones with rubber.

Say goodbye to driving barefoot. I always have to take my Rainbows off in the summer to drive because sandals piss me off when I'm trying to drive.

Eh, barefoot is a hell of a lot safer than with sandals. Of course if you're on a track where you'd want to be heel/toeing of course you'd not be barefoot...
