I cant figure out how to remove the door panel on a B7 cabriolet so I can install new component speakers. Ive seen the countless directions and videos online on how to remove the door panel for a sedan, but the cab has different longer doors. There isnt the cap (under the handle) to pry off to expose the two hidden screws underneath.

I was able to remove all the screws behind the trim piece, one at the bottom of the panel, and pop out all the clips along the perimeter, but there are still screws or something near the handles that is holding the panel. All I see is this little hole under the handle, but it just appears to be white plastic inside, nothing resembling a screw.

Anyone know how to access these hidden screws?

Maybe it's just clips? How do you know its screws?

Bentley manual says to pry out the window switch panel from the hole below using a screw driver, which will give you access to the bolt in the handle.

Thanks eMac, I had a feeling someone was going to tell me to pry up the window switch plate, but I wasn't about to try that in a "trial and error" fashion and snap the trim, but if the Bentley manual says that the way to go, then that gives me enough confidence to hold my breath and try it. if anyone thinks differently speak up before i try tomorrow and crack something...

Did you check under the silver trim? In the sedan and avant there are 3 screws behind the silver trim. Pry it off starting with the end closest to the front of the car. The trim is held by 3 or 4 clips that pop right out.
