Iam planing to get extended warranty on 2008 A4 with 28,500 miles on it. the dealer is quoting around 3500 for addition 60k and 4 year warranty. Is it worth paying that much for the warranty ? i am in kinda hurry as my factory warranty expires this April , please suggest

That's a decent price. But only if you actually intend on driving the car for another 60K miles in the next 4 years.

Assuming you bought the car new 4 years ago and only drive 7K miles a year you're probably better off without the warranty. I don't see $3500 worth of repairs on a 60K mile vehicle.

i edited the post. it for addition 60k and 4 years. the reason iam asking is i heart lot about the timing belt problem with AUDI's after 50k miles, which concerns me alot.

Change the belt, it's scheduled maintenance. However in your case I would change it due to time/age rather than mileage, 1.8Ts had the belts breaking at 40-50K, 2.0T is a lot better.

I would definitely get it! I'm CPO and I already had about 3k worth of warranty work. Cam Follower, HPFP, LPFP, Cam, among other things. Not to mention free loaners. I would never get an audi without a warranty.
