One of the most common problems people have when going to a bigger turbo is getting a persistent and hard to track down misfire. This has been traced to bad injectors in some of the cases. What I would like to know is:
1. How many of you that have gone to an upgraded turbo have experienced misfire issues?
2. If you had misfire issues, what type of injector were you running?
2. Of those with the issue, how many were solved?
3. Of those solved, how many were due to a bad injector? and how did you finally realize?

I would really like feedback from the tuner shops, as they are the ones that see the most cars!

And here is an interesting read on this.

OK, just for a piece of mind, I am going to send my injectors that I bought used, to these guys to have them flow tested and cleaned. They do a before and after flow test to show what the flow rates are before and after cleaning, and allow me to put together a matching a set. In other words, if I have 2 out of 4 that are not performing, you can find some more used ones and have them tested until you have a perfect matching set (perfect = +- 5%).

And this is applicable to BNIB injectors correct?

Yup, even new injectors will have some variation between them. So if you just want to check them out before spending a couple of weeks to a months trying to track down the problem, you can eliminate the possibility of it being the injectors for $12 a piece for flow testing each one, or $24 a piece for flow testing, then cleaning, then re-flow testing. Sound like $48 is cheap as fuk for eliminating this possibility.

I am not sure on the cost of the test bench, but the cost is $12 a head for DI injectors. For us performance guys, I think this is a pretty good cost for a piece of mind.

OK, sent the 4 injectors I got used from baggednbangin to the guy. I am having the full deal done with before and after flow testing and cleaning for $25 each to see if the cleaning makes any difference on injectors with only a few thousand miles on them. Or maybe they had some junk in them from the factory?? Who knows? Oh ya, I will in a few weeks when I get them back!

I will report back with the reports of exactly how much the S3 injector flow ;-) oh ya baby, putting the rumors to rest like a junky on wheels. Now who is going to send in their RS4 injectors so we can get some numbers on them too? I am going to send in my OEM injectors when I replace them so we have data on the stock A4 ones.

If this place is legit, it could be like Bobistheoilguy for injectors. Sorta. In for results!

I asked him to take pictures of the spray patterns before and after too. I like the idea.

They are at the same address as Engine Logic in Houston TX. Checked out the google street view, and they have some Porches sitting in front of a very clean looking shop. Looks pretty legit place. You have to swing around front to see the shop.
