Hey guys! Been a while since I posted here... It's been a happy year with my B7 A4 2.0T, except I decided to get the 55k mile service done at a stealership this past weekend... Pacific Audi got it done on Saturday... Ironically, that's when things got a bit wrong... I now have 2 issues:

1) CEL came on with P2404: Evap emission system leak detection pump sense circuit range/performance [I read it on the Dashcommand iPhone app]
2) Stealership said my passenger side engine mount has completely collapsed and all the hydraulic fluid has leaked out...

I need help in figuring out what to do with the 2 issues... Here's what I found out:

1) A simple Google/AZ search told me that the P2404 is a generic sort of code, at least I wasn't able to pin-point a specific cause for the error. I checked the fuel cap to make sure it was tight and the seal around it was good. I went around sniffing & looking below the car and I didn't see/smell much except a few curious stares in my office parking lot [:D] So, doesn't look like any liquid is dripping out, maybe a gaseous leak though... Anybody have this problem before? If so, what can I do?

2) AZ search told me 4 types of engine mounts: Soft/Firm Stern & Street/Track 034. Since I want to be as close to OEM vibration levels in the cabin, I think a Soft Stern or Street density 034 would be my best bets. According to Mike at PureMS, stock for the Stern mount would be available in 2-3 weeks. Is this a long time to run my car in the condition it is in right now? Also, is it worth waiting or can I just go ahead with the 034 mount? Since I will be doing this stuff under the car, is it a good idea to replace my transmission mount as well? Again, I might go with Stern or 034. The DIY on AZ for the engine mount is mainly for the B6 and removes the mount from the top including taking the air intake & turbo out. Another method was to go under the car and approach from the snub mount area. Are these methods valid for a B7?

Any help would be appreciated and I've already tried using the search bar! [:D]

Once I get back to the car, I can put up what the stealership worked on. Off hand, they did the regular 55k service and attended to 4 recalls/TSBs for our car [I think I remember the coil packs/spark plugs, oil change, brake fluid etc were replaced]. Thanks!

my car was diagnosed with leaking left side motor mount 3K miles ago @61.5K miles. searched and based on positive reviews concluded i wanted a set of the street density 034s. bought left/right together so the feel would be consistent. waiting to install them at my next oil change in 2K miles. vibration, in those 3K miles, sis progressively worse but not unbearable. we'll see if it holds up. it helped that for the price of an OE mount you can have a set of 034s.
