Hi Guys,
Currently I have some Vossen CV2 20x9 ET32 Wheels on the way for my Audi A4 B8 S-Line (Australian/ Euro Model). Not sure if the suspension on US Spec/ Euro Spec S-Line are different in drop.
Anyway, Ive been getting a bit of advice on what tyre size would be ideal. I don't want to lower the car if I can get the right stance with combining the right tyre size to match the S-Line factory suspension.
Anyway, my tyre options are:
1. 245/30/20 - Ideal recommendation but I worry that the gap between the guard and tyre will be too noticable and I may need to lower it to close this gap.
2. 235/35/20 - The extra stretch from 245 to 235 may give me a bit more tyre/ guard clearance and reduce the chances of scrubbing while the 35 increases my tyre wall thickness hence slightly reducing the gap between tyre and guard. I understand the lip will petrude from the tyre a little.
3. 245/35/20 - The thought behind this is that the tyre wall would be flush with the lip of the rim however the 35 would give me that extra bit of thickness to close the gap between guard and tyre. I'm concerned about this combination as I worry it may scrub.
I've only ever seen pictures of an S-Line with 245/30/20's on factory sports suspension. Discounting any coments in relation to rolling diameter/ speedo readings, which option would help me achieve my goal of hte idal stance on factory s-line suspension without having to lwoer it and be scrub free?
Cheers
Steve
