Embarrassingly, I re-installed my front passenger seat headrest backwards today, with it tilting towards the rear seat. Instead of popping right back out, AS YOU THINK IT WOULD, the hole without the release button had it seemingly permanently captured. After much tugging, cussing, consulting the book and online forums, and dreary thoughts of having to look at it mounted wrongly forever, the plastic trim ring on the top of the seat surrounding the chrome post snapped off, revealing a retaining clip that would spread apart and release the headrest! The decorative ring was undamaged and snapped right back on. While looking on Audizine, I discovered a reply by b7cruiser on how to make your headrests tilt again, a feature which was seemingly taken away for 2007 and 2008.
