View Full Version : Is it possible to change the FART-sound car lock, to a beep sound instead?

Can we change the ugly "fart" sound when locking our cars to the nicer beep sound on the newer A4's? Locking my younger brother's A3 sounds so nice...

not sure, but on other vw thru vag com you can change the frequency/pitch of the beep

Sure, just change out the alarm horn in the trunk and wire up whatever you want to it.

Yep, you can connect whatever 12v siren you want there, dont forget the output is pulsed so you wont get a constant siren sound when the alarm sounds.

According the the Ross Tech website, you can also code it out so there is no arm honk. I don't know if that is an option for you?

can someone show me a picture where the alarm horn is in the trunk? my friend that works at VW snatched me a alarm horn but cant find where is the horn is located

It's in the trunk where the tool box/cd changer is at, just pull that out and you'll see the small horn/ speaker for the alarm.
