Osir Carbon Fiber Mirrors

Looking into being some OSIR carbon fiber mirrors. I have found 2 websites that sell them the OSIR website (http://www.osirusa.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=A4B7-M1-CF&Category_Code=A4B7EB) ($499 - On Order) and GoodSpeed (http://www.goodspeedperformance.com/products.php?make=Audi&model=S4+V8&trim=B6-7+%2804-UP%29&prodid=919&prodName=OSIR+B7-M1+Mirror+Housings+-+Gloss+Carbon+) ($399). Has anybody ordered these from GoodSpeed? Should I take the risk and order them from GoodSpeed or just pay the extra $100 for piece of mind. Opinions please!!!

I don't know what brand but A4A4A4 gave me his eBay CF mirrors and they are awesome quality

Those ebay ones fit well?

I bought "Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps" about 6 months ago but just got these shells you stick on with tape.
Needless to say they are still sitting on the table I put them on after unpacking them. These look like a replacement cover! 1000x better!

To me it looks like the OSIR CF is alittle lighter than the ebay CF. Do you all agree??

OSIR definitely has the quality.
But that doesn't mean the Ebay won't get the job done for a lot cheaper. Especially a cosmetic thing.

I can't find the thread where someone had some with silver CF. Those were homemade right, not off the shelf? I'm thinking they may look better on my silver avant.

I have a silver tit and I am thinking the carbon fiber mirrors with my CF rear lip spoiler are going to look the business!!

As Shane said, the full replacement housings from eBay are spot on. No reason to spend $500 on carbon fiber that doesn't lighten your car.

I see your point about the ebay ones but I feel like the OSIR mirrors have more realistic carbon fiber look and colouring; or this is just from the pictures (seems a little lighter)

Not entirely sure what you mean by "lighter"... they're a lighter colour you think? The luminosity of carbon fiber always has a lot to do with what it's reflecting so it may just be the pictures, OSIR seem to be taken on a dim rainy day. Also, as with all carbon fiber, it will lose some of its deep dark tones over time as it gets worn by the sun; the mirrors I had started off quite dark but faded a bit to what you see in the picture, no getting around that. The weave on the eBay ones always looked quite realistic to me and that's what I liked about them. If however, you like the OSIR's $300 more than you like the eBay housings then by all means buy them, I would imagine they'd be of higher quality they just simply were not worth an extra $300 to me.

It, I can see you are trying to convince yourself the extra money will mean they are better...

I don't see how the real CF in the eBay ones would look less

Someone purchased a set on the ebay store recently ;D

I checked yesterday and there was 4 available and 24 sold, now there is 3 available and 25 sold. HAHA
