Interior handle/ window switch bezel

Has anyone done anything with the bezel around the window switches? Mine started to look like crap so I started scraping off the gel type rubber that's on it kind of like you can do with the glove box handle to make it a nice shiny hard plastic.

Any one done anything with this piece? I'm going to take my door card off on my next day off, I know that the window switch itself comes out, anyone know if that plastic bezel comes off?
