Anyone successful with running 5x114.3 wheels?

I've had a set of Rota Grids for some time. (Bore 73, 5x114.3 bolt pattern) I purchased a set of wobble bolts from ECS some time ago and just today tried mounting them and was completely unsuccessful.

My question is (for those who have done it) is there a specific way to mount wobble bolts? It just didn't want to line up at all. I remember seeing these same wheels on a Dolphin B7 avant I believe.

there are a few b6's that are running them. Styleprojekt is one person i know that is running them. I can't remember the name of the other guy that is running them as well. It is possible, but i am not sure on how it happens.

drill out the bolt holes to 5/8" and use the proper hubcentric ring and you should be good to go. or buy adaptors if your offset allows.

theres some people running them on b7's most of them are using wabble bolts and stud conversions to do it.

this makes sense. even with the wobble bolts they are not lining up as they should

Yea the wobble bolts are a 14mm bolt when the holes are 12mm. I have a set of grids and last summer i used 14mm to 12mm stud conversion for lug nuts and worked we. I however will never do it again because the studs are near impossible to get out without breaking your bit or the stud itself where the bit is inserted to get them out.

Mine are in CA right now being re drilled were they fill in the holes and re drill to 5x112 :). Total including shipping to get done is under $500

I have done it. I drilled the holes to enlarge them (cant remember what size) then using a METAL hub ring put the wheel on. Now start putting in the wobble bolts. You need to have them all in before you start to tighten so the wheel goes on without stressing too much on one wobble bolt. Then when all hand tight torque them and go to the next wheel. It takes longer to put the wheels back on with this setup but it works just fine. I had no issues what so ever. Remember aluminum hub rings. I tried the plastic ones and had one deform while putting a wheel on so, go with metal to avoid any issues with centering the wheel and tightening the bolts.

thanks for the info. I actually don't think hub rings would work. the Rota hub doesn't look like it has enough room to run hub rings and clear the wheel hub.

I've had ten wheels drilled out from 114.3 conical to 112 OEM Audi ball seat, and never had a problem. Contact Rotiform, they will do it.

Hub rings will work. I have them on my grids from 73mm outer diameter to 57.1 inner diameter to fit our B7's. Wobbles should work fine as well. I was able to mount mine up without any sort of drilling to the holes. It's snug, but they fit just fine.

What kind of wobble bolts did you run? The ones from ECS seem a little too bulky to completely clear the grid holes

you wont find a wobble bolt in 12m size only in 14 mm which are to bulky for grids.

Hmm that's odd. If I remember correctly I have the ECS wobbles too. I'm at a loss then if those don't fit.

I have my 14mm-12mm studs I can sell you very cheap if you want to go that route?

I went ahead and did the same thing getting the ecs wobbles and when the wheels arrived found out they would not fit also, and I did not want to drill out the holes so they would.
