DICE the second

a couple month ago I bought a DICE FMRDS USB.
After I installed everything it works fine for exact
20 minutes, than I quit working.
No breaker were smoked but the module self smelled
burned.
Long story short, I got a replacement from DICE and
put everything back together today.
This time it worked for only 10 minutes and the module
is dead again with the same symptoms.
Great

All breakers (5 amp) are good and the only physical
connection to the head unit is trough the antenna
connector.
Yes, all 3 cables are wired up as they should be.
I really don't know what cause the shortage in
the module.
I have my doubts the DICE will replace it again.

Anybody has a guess ?

That's bizarre. Where did you grab your power, ground, and accessory wires?

Power and ignition power from the terminals below the main relay board.
Ground from the terminal passenger side below glow box .
I have no clue what's going on .
Maybe the SCC1 cause the prob ?

Not sure what to tell you. I've installed a few of those without issue.

Your voltage gauge is reading normal, right?

Yes, got a brand new Audi battery last month.
I ripped everything out already and throw it in the garbage.
I'm really pissed.

I don't blame you. I would try to get a refund and get a different product.

Ahh, it was pain enough to get a replacement from DICE.
And i'm not really a pro in dumpster diving. [:)]
Guess it's not made for my A6.
