Ok so here's a video of the problem

Now I am a pizza delivery guys for 2 days a week and the cars does this once a day when I'm working I will start the car go to drive off and the car will sputter and die on me and them for about 5 minutes it will do this were it takes a couple cranks for the car to start and when it does it will idle rough an die again but as far as before and after this happens the car runs perfectly fine

I don't know if it would have anything to do with it but I have had a forge dv on my car for around 6 months now and about 2 weeks ago right before this started to happens I realized I had the hoses between the valve an the solenoid backwards so I switched them around and I did notice a difference in the way the car runs

Now I did search a little bit but to be completely honest I have no idea what I should be searching for or how to put it into the search without writing a paragraph

No codes?

Here's the things you may hear people suggest:

PCV
N80
Coil Packs

The N80 is 12$
And the other two are warranty or recall items

The engine light has not come on and I haven't check for codes yet but I will do that when I get off work today. I changed the n80 about a month and a half ago and I've replaced the pcv to and I did the cap test yesterday and it was not hard to pull off at all and as far as the coilpacks my cars an 08 don't they have the revised ones

while your swapping coils, swap the plugs also, they are cheap enough, and its one of those 'while your down there' type of jobs

^^Wouldn't hurt to check on the Plugs and Coils, and maybe clean your MAF. Let's see what that light says.

Well I did clean the maf yesterday because I do have a kand n on it that I have been meaning to replace with a dry filter the coils will have to wait till payday but hopefully cleaning the maf solved it but as far as scanning it I was reading that the eBay cable will not read anything and neither can the ones an auto parts store uses since it does not make the check engine light turn on

You said you recently changed your plugs. The problem didn't start right after the change did it? I'm guessing not or you wouldn't be asking but sometimes it's the most simple things we overlook.

That said, I agree with Draklore. I got a GREAT deal on my B7 because it was running like piss and the car lot wanted it gone. I knew (from the great people here at this site) that it was both a bad pack and the PCV.

Yeah I'm goin to try the coils and I've already replaced things like the pcv the n80 but it did start doing if when I switch the in and out hoses on the diverter valve after realized I had it hooked up wrong for almost 6 months

Well the auto parts store didn't find any codes and cleaning the maf didn't do anything but I'm waiting for a couple other things to come in

how recently has your fuel filter been replaced? should be done ever 20-30k miles and people always seem to neglect them. i just did mine after similar issues (car was developing a issue where it was struggling to start) and it fires up easily now. its really easy and too maybe 30 minutes tops (first time doing it). if yours is severly clogged it could be causing a similar misfire issue where the cars running lean due to fuel not getting to the fuel rail/injectors.

Doublezero: I got a fuel filter ordered that was one of the first things I thought it might be I'm just waiting for it to come in

^^Whew....longest sentence I have ever read in my life. Well, let's hope you tackle the issue quick because the guessing game can be costly.

Yea your right BMT This is the same thing which happened to me. It doesnt crank the same either. Almost like there isnt any gas. I made an appt at the dealer for my last audi care oil change and they are going to do 3 recall items (one of which has to do with a fuel sensor). Well see how that goes this upcoming week.

Well I'm glad to say I did not have the problem today so one of the three things solved it I changed the oil which the filter looked disgusting I replaced the dipstick because the old one broke and I replaced the fuel filter not sure which one fixed the problem since I did all three at once but I'd bet it was the fuel filter

But I have noticed that at 57000 miles my engine is getting louder and sounds like I might need to do the timing very soon
