Hey guys, I am a newbie here.

So today was 84 degrees and drove home with the A/C half way home. Finally got home and parked my 2003 a4 1.8T (just hit 80K miles)in my driveway. Was talking to my neighbor when all of the sudden I heard a noise come from the a4. Looked over and noticed coolant/antifreeze was gushing out from the bottom. OH NO!!!.

What do you guys think it is? hose? water pump?. I just called a shop today at lunch too to ask how much it will charge me to change the timing belt and water pump.

Hope its not to severe. Man not happy.

many thanks in advance

Best bet would be to jack the front end up (or pop the hood and maybe you can see that way) and look to where the leak came from. Seeing how you were able to drive home, engine should be just fine. Probably need to replace a flange or hose, and def do your TB with water pump and thermostat.

Was the car still running when this happened? If so, probably not timing belt/WP...but can't say for sure.

Thanks guys for checking out my post.

Engine was shut off when the coolant/antifreeze was puked out. I was able to locate the problem, its my turbo coolant hose/line. I've ordered a new one along with the TB kit. How hard is it to change/replace this line (has banjo nuts)

Thanks guys!
