+1 but I do, too. I hate black wheels. It just looks like you cleaned your car but got lazy and let your wheels just get caked in brake dust. but thats just my opinion.

Add me to the "doesn't like black wheels" club. Once in a while it can be pulled off. The major negative points for me are:

A - from a distance nobody can tell if you have 18's or 15's.
B - Looks like your wheels are dirty at all times
C - Your tires always look old and crusty unless you religiously apply tire-goo to your sidewalls.

Case in point, pic #3 in the original post. Squint slightly to simulate some distance from the car. Front wheel looks sweet. Nice shiny 18's look like cash money. They are super clean and the tire is nice and black. Back wheel not so much. Can't really tell that it's not a steely winter setup (even more true whilst moving). Tire is pasty and gray. I'm just calling it like I see it. So my vote is no darker than gunmetal. (Specifically, a lighter color than your rubber).

I like it! I have the same car & color w/ the same Celebration wheels. I have always been thinking about getting them powder coated black, but judging by how this turned out - I might just buy some plasti-dip. I am torn between black or white. Walky made some good points, but white would always get dirty too. I think silver wheels are just getting old for me.

In this case it's a no for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like black wheels. I feel like the problem lies in the width of the spokes on the wheels. Thinner spokes look good black and other colors. The Celebration/RS4 style wheel has a relatively wide spoke in comparison to most after market wheels and it just doesn't work painted black.

The other problem is that you need to be low to pull of black wheels and you look to be stock sport height.

Walky brought up a good point about the tire looking like crap if you don't constantly keep it shiny. The wheel will stay the same black shade but the tires get grayish after a week or so of not being tire-shined.

If the wheels are curbed up I'd just refinish them in stock silver paint.

Dudeeeee...Why?! The original color was nice. Not to sound like an a$$hole but painted black wheels is like chrome dubs to me. Too many retarded ricers around my house paint them.

Dude, you won't believe me.. Yesterday I saw a same color car with black wheels on the highway when I was driving back home.. From distance, looking from the sideways I really didn't feel like its an Audi. I felt like something is missing there at the wheels even after getting close to that car..

From my point of view, Black wheels looks great only at stand still or in photos..:)

I like it but you could plasti dip the roof as well to kind of give it the matching look if you wanted to go for it. I don't like the stock rim color on any car but that's just me lol.....HAPPY DIPPING

keep them silver or paint them gunmetal.

I prefer gunmetal wheels but honestly the black doesn't look bad at all.
