No offense to the previous topic whatsoever, but yes it's probably all of our dreams to own an RS4. I actually just finished reading the thread above and thought I'd go take a look on Autotrader, and look what the hell I found!!

http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Audi/RS4/NORTH%20YORK/Ontario/19_5141306_/

Someone please tell me this is true? ... I've already E-mailed the person and hoping to get a response ASAP. I'm ready to drop the cash on this and sell the A4 tomorrow if so.

lol. Can you imagine how insane it would be if I told someone I bought and RS4 then sold my A4 and then actually made profit?

- Reluctantly selling because 2nd child on way and upgrading to "family-sized" vehicle.

Hmmmmmm could be legit....... If the seller is in a bind. But I'd figure a trade in, should net him more.

I just received an E-mail from the person right now, you guys tell me how legit this sounds? I'm not liking this at all....

HI, I'm asking $18,000 for this '07 Audi RS4 with 70.000km's in black color. It's a Canadian vehicle and is in an excellent condition(Clear Title in Hand). I just got divorced and I decided to move(along with my daughter) closer to my parents. Right now I'm located in South Carolina and the vehicle is here with me. The car was awarded to me in our divorce. Being a single mother and not having a driver's license I decided to sell it. I am not in a position that allows me to travel, and because I wish to sell it as fast and easy as possible, I decided that the best way to let it go was online. I am not interested in taking a trade in with me to the dealership because I knew that would be a hassle. Because it's such a large transaction, and because the vehicle will be shipped from US to Canada, I will complete the deal only using an authorized 3rd party. I'm currently signed up for a protection program offered by eBay motors and I would like to close the deal through them. I believe this protects both buyer and seller and it's the right way to do this. Basically eBay motors will secure the funds until you receive and inspect the car. This way you will be able to inspect the vehicle before I receive any money from you and I know that you have the money and you are not just fooling around, hope you understand me. If you like to receive more information about the car, more details about the deal and hopefully if you want to continue please contact me.

I don't want to offend you, but the car is priced for a fast sale so please if you intend to apply for a loan or financing do not reply to this message!

Thank you for your time,
Maryana
PS: See CarProof Report attached. Open the CarProof Report with Microsoft Paint. Open the document and view the image. Then edit in Windows Paint which located in Start-> Programs-> Accessories-> Paint.
I hope this will help you.

Definitely a scam, back out. For all you know they took the pics off another ad online. Also shady is the fact that she said she has no license and yet "needs a car for two kids" and yet there is a volvo wagon in the background

Isn't Jeff in SC (hell im pretty close lol) I almost wish this was legit... But after reading about the third party for funds transfer... That is usually the number one thing EBay warns you AGAINST. Why does she need the money so quick? If she had no liscence than what is the rs4 other than pure profit? Too many questions... Im 90% sure it's a scam :-(

Wish it were true but alas it has the overwhelming stench of bull patties. btw: Canadian to USD on $18k is $18,175 USD. No way its legit. I can upload a post of a 2008 RS4 with only 10,000 miles (vs 70,000+ kilometers), with every option, in MINT MINT MINT condition for only $12,500 but I'd need you to wire me the money in full within the next 60 minutes or I have someone else who's ready to buy it. LMK [facepalm]

Similar scam happened to me with a Supra. But dood lived in Greece, and although the car was last reg'd in the states, it was with him in Greece. He was selling it to me for under $10k and was paying for the trans-Atlantic shipping himself....................... Ummmm, I passed....

Lololololo. That motor still looks useable!!

It's a scam.

I had a few people in Autotrader selling MY Avant using the same pictures and just edited out the license plate number.

So I messaged the 'seller' and one told me he was in Winnipeg, I told him I would like to fly over there and check out the car before I bought it and I needed contact info but he never released a phone number or address to go to.

I would reply and say that you have a friend in South Carolina that wanted to stop by and take a look at it... see how she responds...

Way too many inconsistencies and the way the email was written, there are telling signs that point to it being written by a male. I hate when it's a "hassle" to take your car to a dealership and make at least $12,000 more than what you're asking. DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN! It would be a good idea to report the person.

Might be a long shot, but doesn't that Volvo have a Florida license plate on it?

Yeah good call, I'm not familiar with state plates, I figured these pics weren't taken in Ontario anyway after she stated where she lived. Before I received the E-mail, I was way too busy modding the car and selling my A4 in my head to even realize the surroundings >.>

well, good thing I didn't stay home from work to test drive/buy this thing today [rolleyes]

Ask the seller to send a picture of the car with a recent and local newspaper (with the date on it) before you transfer money over Western Union to Nigeria or wherever the scammers hail from. Guarantee that you will not get a reply.

I've been fooling around with the seller and sending her a bunch of BS E-mails like I have people who wants to come take a look at it etc.. and I keep getting "sorry, I already sold it"
