I finally replaced my leatherette front seats in my 99 avant with heated cloth sport seats from a 97 A4.

Love the new seats, but not the airbag light. I have been searching, and I believe that I need to use a 4.7 ohm resistor at each connector. Can anyone confirm or correct?

Also, there's what appears to be a second ground from the seat airbag to the red seatbelt connector. Will I need to deal with that? My sport cloth seats have 2 wires in that red seatbelt connector. Do I need to swap the buckles from the pleather seats?

Thanks!

What exact codes are you getting?

Didn't scan. But unplugged the seat airbag connectors when I did the swap (obviously) and as Aston as I started it up, the light popped on. Must be from disconnecting the seat airbags, right?

Sport cloth seats don't have airbags, btw.

I did have an issue with my 02 GTi and bad wiring in the seatbelt buckle causing an airbag light, which is why I asked about that.
