So I'm trying to decide whether to get the Stasis tune on the new car, and I've read some mixed reviews on it. Before I drop almost $2K, I thought I'd ask if there is anyone near me that might want to demo their tune. I kinda hate to ask, but I'm asking anyway.

Anyone near Aliso Viejo that might want to help me out?

Thanks.

I'm in North County San Diego(Del Mar) and i'd be happy to let you take my car for a spin. All stock hardware with the stasis tune. I know it's not the OC but if you don't get any other offers hit me up on a private message.

I dont have my 2010 A6 3.0 Supercharged any longer but I had Mission Viejo Audi do my Stasis tune. Everything else was stock but I have to say that I initially noticed right away the big difference, however over time it seem to settle down a bit and be less aggressive, although still much improved over stock. The best part was it being covered under warranty since the dealer did everything.

Now jump ahead and we also had a 09 A4 2.0T. Instead of Stasis because I didnt want to drop another $1700, I went Revo and for this A4 2.0T, Revo is outstanding. The price of course was a hair under $500 including the module that allows me to put it back to stock if needed, but the increase in power is very substantial and feels like the gain is on par with the gain we had on the A6. Granted not the same HP but just the difference in pulling power and top end from stock to enhanced.

Not going to look into APR, GIAC, or Revo?

Stasis is rumored to be APR software. Do you just want your warranty backed or something?

Uhhh... YES! Will send PM.

Looking, and yes the warranty is an issue, but also that my car is a lease, so I am extra concerned about my ability to return the vehicle. I already talked to my dealership, and multiple people there have assured me that I have nothing to worry about with Stasis. I'm probably being overly cautious, but I don't want to screw myself later.

PM Responded! I also gave you my thoughts on the tune which Ill re-iterate here. If I were looking right now I would probably go GIAC. At the time APR was the only player and with no switching Stasis was the best option for me. Since stasis=APR v1 it is not a powerful as the newest tunes on the market. It is an unknown if you go stasis now whether you get apr V2 or the original calibration.

I had GIAC on a previous car with no warranty issues as it was put to stock at each visist but YMMV!

Returning the car with the Stasis tune is acceptable, yes, because it will most likely be installed by the dealer you are working with anyways.

That being said, Audi will treat any and all aftermarket software the same way...in the event of an issue, Audi turns their back and it's up to the tuner to take over responsibility. So regardless of which tune you decide to run while you own the car, the decision is yours, not Audi's.

If it's any consolation, when it's time to return your car at the end of your lease we can flash your car back to stock.
So why not enjoy it the most right now, and don't worry about the lease return until it's imminent?
I've modded my last 4 leased vehicles, and I just made sure to keep all of my stock parts for trade in day.

We should just make a SoCal meet out of this, so you can test ride the various tunes.

Here's an option;

I got my car back and I must say that Im impressed and 100% satisfied!! The sound of the exhaust is amazing....As far as the tune is concerned I have absolutely no complaints. The car really moves! way better than stock...It feels faster than the stasis s4 6mt I drove at the dealer. Im lovin it..

Nice!! Glad to hear you like it. How it the new power band? Do you feel any of the power in the low RPMs, or is it all up top (above 5k)?

There's about a 2-3 second delay when driving in automatic mode but when i switch to dynamic the power is instant. Its the same in s-tronic....instant power. I havent had a chance to really open it up yet but that will be coming soon...heading to Vegas for the weekend on Thursday and i will definately put it to the test.
