From what I understand the speakers in the front doors are attached to the door cards rather than the door itself. Has this caused problems with aftermarket installs for anyone? It seems like a bad place for a quality install. Do the door cads rattle/vibrate a lot? Can you come close to sealing the doors? I guess what I really want to know is, with the mounting limitations is it worth it to buy higher quality speakers? For example, I like Precision Power so would the higher end Art or Power series be able to play to their potential or would the lower quality Sedona series make more sense? I'm sure any half decent set will be better than the Bose. Thanks for the input.

Whoever told you they are attached to the door cards is wrong. The woofer is mounted to the door, the tweeter is mounted to the top of the door card. I put Massive Audio CK6 components in my front door, and Alpine Type R coax in the rear. The door cards don't rattle at all, and I have yet to even attempt sealing them. You have about 2.75" of mounting depth available without doing any modifications.

Thanks. It looks like I was given some bad info. Maybe the guy was thinking of a different model. He was sure the I was going to have problems. It actually looks pretty sealed already though.
The speakers in a B7 are mounted in the door and not the door cards. I just installed 6.5" in the fronts of my B7 and no rattling when music is playing. I did have to heavily modify the speaker basket to get 6.5" installed, but it looks professional if I say so myself and they sound great. Do it!!!!
