Anyone run wheel spacers during autocross/tracking the car?

I do around 5 autocross events and 1 track event per year with the car. I'm thinking about getting wheel spacers (5mm front/10mm back or 5mm front/11.5mm back depending on the brand I go with).

Will I need to remove them every time I go to an event? Or are these safe to run all the time?

I would be using the 42mm bolts.
