Has anyone found a way to control subwoofer level from the MMI on B&O cars? I recently installed a JL Audio 8w3v3 and tapped the factory sub for a line out. I just wish I had a way to tone it down for the more sub heavy songs, it gets to be a little much. Obviously, turning the bass down helps. But, that takes out a lot of the midbass, as well.

Thoughts?

You must have a non-nav MMI, right? Unfortunately I don't think there's a way for us to get that functionality. However, you could always do something like this (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10092_EFX-RLC-by-Scosche.html).

If you didn't use a line out converter you would need to also do that. Lucky for me my amp has a bass control port built into it.

I have an independent Amp and sub installed, there is a gain control running to the front box under the armrest, which allows this - consider an aftermarket amp for the sub?

^ Can I ask what type of driver and amp you went with? I am considering swapping mine out with a JL 10W1v2-8, but I heard that it needs a little more power to hit it's sweet spot. Also, do you experience any rattling with your aftermarket amp?

I have an older MTX monoblock amp, I had in my G35 (about 5 year old amp) which is 550w. I have a dual voice coil Alpine R12 that it pushes, way more than I need or want, but it is a little fun if I pull up next to some "baller" in a civic with everything in their car rattling where I can't hear my own radio, and I crank it for a few seconds to drown them out.

My setup is a 150w kenwood amp that sits perfectly in between the other amps in the factory spot. I'm going to post a DIY soon. I was hoping that there would be a way to recode the MMI to enable the sub level control. Seems kind of BS that I have the full nav and B&O and I don't get a feature that the base stereo non nav gets. I understand the persepctive of B&O on not messing up the quality of the sound with too much sub. But, it's lacking from the factory. And, frankly, the B&O isn't all that great. It's great for a stock stereo in a car. But, not compared to some Hybrid setups, etc.

Anyone got any advice for this? Has anyone tried enabling this in vagcom by changing coding around?
