I currently have the AWE exhaust paired with my stock DPs.
Sometimes I feel the urge to be obnoxious and buy the non-res DPs, but I'm worried about the drone.
I'm ok with some drone since I used to have a R32.
I've seen some vids, but I wanted to get opinions from people who actually have this setup.
Thanks!

subbed. How do you like the AWE exhaust with stock downpipes? I'm about to order this week.

Love it. Still my favorite between all the available exhausts.

I cant comment on the difference between stock and non-res, but I can comment between stock and res. I had the stock DP's on my AWE exhaust for about a week and then had the Res DP's installed. There was not really a discernable loss of loudness when at WOT. What was a difference was the elimination of a constant hum coming out of the exhaust at any RPM. Basically it made driving around town bearable and much more quiet.

My issue is the exhaust with stock DPs is too quiet for me sometimes. [>_<]
Seems like not a lot of people have this non-res DP setup because they worry about drone, but maybe somebody can chime in.

I have an AWE exhaust - DP and Cat Non-Res...There's nothing like the sound. Great sound when you drive, quite at idle (just a nice little growl). You get a little drone at 4000 in 4th gear, but if you drive the car the way it was engineered you'll never hear it. Besides, it's a matter of preference. If you don't like an exhaust that turns your car into a "wolf in sheep's clothing", then it's probably not for you. Guaranteed to make everyone look twice to make sure it was an Audi that they just saw.

Exactly how an aftermarket exhaust should be!

I love it both ways, stock dp and non res dp.
however since I'm an old man now I rather not have my daily that loud.
I ran it that way for just about 2 years now (non res AWE dp)
Since I have the wife and 2 kids in the car sometimes I prefer to hear the 2 kids screaming LOL.
I sent you a PM if you want them I can have them shipped out for a good price.
