Will be visiting SoCal Feb. 16-19 - Looking for a good drive!

Im going to be coming down from the bay area to visit some friends and will be on my own a couple of the afternoons so I figure why not get a great drive in while Im down in the area with my B5 S4. I saw the drive for the morning of the 18th, but I'm not trying to drive in a caravan. I'll be in the Van nuys area, so something not too far would be great. Any information would be great. From Van Nuys, Santa Monica Mountains are the best bet. Take topanga canyon down from the 101, but topanga gets crowded sometimes so take Mulholland highway from topanga all the way to PCH. Then either take Kanan Road or Las Virgenes from PCH back to the 101 for an easier drive. Just a heads up, theres a lot of bikers, bicyclist and enthusiastic drivers on these canyon roads, cops too.

Took this route today, quite please with all the variety and the twists!

glad you enjoyed it. If you go on the weekends, the route is mobbed with bicyclists, kamikazee motorcycles, and wannabe drifters, exotic car owners whom can't drive their ccars, and cops :P
