I am having the same issue with mine, no clue what may be going on, unless the dice only supports the head unit with satellite. If you hear anything else, let me know.

I believe it's the iPod software. Is it a classic, touch, or iPhone? My iPhone use to do that too until I upgraded to iOS 5. I can now play Pandora too.
Try upgrading your iPod through iTunes.

it sounds to me like its the cable ... they have a newer ipod cable out that supports the newer 5v models. in some other cases it could be u have an older Disc unit that is not capable of a software upgrade ... They have newer units out that have much more capabilities than the older units and are rock solid.
If you have any other questions PM me I am very familiar with Dice products.
