View Full Version : Anybody have a cam chain tensioner compressor tool i can borrow?

I have the new gasket but i need the tool and i leave for school on wednsday so i need the tool either today or tomorrow. Of course audi wont let me borrow it is there anybody on here who has the tool and is willing to let me borrow it for a day. Im in the westchster new york area. Thanks.

I recently replaced this gasket without the tool, and it was no big deal to do without the tool. At the time I did it, like you, it wasn't the tool cost that was the issue but the fact that I didn't want to hold everything up waiting for the UPS man to arrive. But now that I've done it without the tool, I wouldn't even bother wasting the measily $10 on something that's not needed.

Im in mahopac. i ordered one from Europa parts today the guy said itll be here tomorrow so my fingers are crossed.
