As a repeat customer from one of our forum sponsor (Extreme Auto Werks (http://www.facebook.com/ExtremeAW)) I have been in contact with both Alex & Edgar about setting up a group buy for either window tint/vinyl roof and/or both! So I wanted to post this thread and gauge interest on what the members would like to have for their group buy. Do you want window tint on ceramic tint? Do you want to vinyl your roof black or some other creative color? Or should we hound them for both? For photos of installed window tint, roof vinyls or any other product they offer please visit their facebook which has numerous examples of customers car.

Price:

Pricing will be contingent on the number of people who are willing to participate and are able to send a deposit to secure a spot. EA would purchase a higher volume of material to accommodate us, hence the necessity of a deposit; All deposits would be sent directly to EA. There is no pre set number of participants needed, however the more the merrier will yield us the best discount possible.


Date/Time/Place:

High quality work such as what EA provides does not take seconds to do, but rather takes time to install window tint and vinyl a roof. Each model will require a certain amount of time to install the product. I would know, they put me to work once! After speaking with EA about this, they would set a time frame for you to come in and install your selected product, no pre dates have been selected so it would be based on everyone's availability.


Duration:

This group buy feeler will run for 2weeks or so and after which an official thread will be posted.

I was just thinking of giving extreme a try out of convenience even though I usually push another place. If some of us can schedule on the same day, having it become a little meet always makes it fun and a reason to stop procrastinating on getting tint.

That is nonsense! There is no reason to be ashamed of your car, we all started off stock at some point. The process of building a car does not happen over night, well at least for some people it does not.

Max, how are you? The mini car meet idea is a good idea and hoping to work on the scheduling based on everyone availability to have this possible; it would be great to hang out with some members it has been quite some time now! I know there are top secret plans for having a big meet at their shop in the works.

I've been cool...finally got someone who is actually getting me my parts for my S4 WB and finalizing what I want to do with the R32. As long as we can schedule some people on the same day, we can just have a meet there and even leave to get food or whatever (I don't know what's in the area yet) in the cars that are waiting or done while other cars are being worked on.

If it helps to work out pricing, I want whatever the top of the line ceramic film (I think EA uses Pinnacle F1) is, in 45-50% on all glass including the sunroof and 80% or whatever the windshield film is. I have a few small things like headlight film that needs to be applied. I put one on one side and it was such a pita for me that I'm not doing the other one myself. Also have a set of ecodes for my S4 that are uninstalled and I want the film applied to those before installation. I'm sure Edgar could do it in 30 seconds with his eyes closed.

currently our policy is we do not charge for the removal of the tint and offer a discount on the re tint ...

For the group buy this will stay the same.

After the group buy for regular sales we are looking to revamp our policy to where it will include replacement X amount of times. This is something we are working on with out the need to raise prices much .... I know there are competitors that offer *free* replacement but when you look at the price difference ... is it really free? We will have this sorted out soon

Hey Max I been meaning to blindfold Edgar .. lets uset eh R32 and the Guinea pig ? lol JK as far as film .. we currently are llumar ATC and CTX dealers ... we are already approved for F1 Pinnacle but that will not be in stock till late march ... we will have a intro GB for that for the summertime. IMO I have CTX and love it... great clarity and heat rejection.
