I know these threads are silly, but I wanted to run these numbers by everyone

2012 Premium Plus
Moonlight Blue
6MT
Sport diff
NAV
advanced key
silk nappa
B&O
Supercharge badge
wheel locks
rear sensors
carbon fiber
19" peelers

MSRP--56210
Invoice--$52,811.68 (includes destination, DAG, and prep--all listed on invoice)

Deal reached $54,200, including Audicare.

Thoughts?

I (personally) think that is a pretty decent deal. Audicare is what, $700? So you're effectively paying $690 above invoice? $53,999 sounds better, though you'd just be splitting hairs at that point.

$53,931 is the price on Truecar.com. For that price with Audicare, I say that's a pretty good deal.

You could also take up to 3% off the price if you work for a large company that could be in included in the supplier program... I think you can even get it with a Costco membership.

I thought the same way until I saw it in person. The brilliant black sitting next to it seemed dull in comparison. Either way, that is why they make different colors. Thanks.

Audicare, per sales agreement is listed at $850.

Also, audi is now offering 1.9% financing up to 66 months on the S4.

build a car there and it will give you the price at the three nearest dealers. It is a prenegotiated price and normally below sticker.

Good deal and great color. I would have purchased it if it were available when I bought mine in '10.

I was going to use this as well. I haven't printed out the paper yet, but I was told it's 3% from the dealer and 3% from Audi. If you negotiate a lower price with the dealer, can you still use the deal to get the extra 3% from Audi?

Just pulled up my certificate to check the language. "The vehicle is to be sold at MSRP less 6-percent discount (see above sample calculation) then subtracting all current applicable retail and dealer incentives"

In Canada, it's not quite as generous. It's all paid by Audi, but as it tops out at $2000 for models like A8. For the S4 (and S5) it's just $500, whereas on the A4 you get $1250. Still better than nothing, I suppose.

Hmm, so I know this is a bit off topic then, but has anyone actually gotten the 6% off MSRP on a new S4?

I'm going to be ordering a new one, so negotiating can be difficult when they already have your deposit. I was hoping to just hand over the paper and get the 6% off.

The paperwork does stipulate that the 6% is excluding any other offers or incentives... But ultimately it would be up to the SA and the dealers level of customer service/satisfaction they want to deliver... they can always override any policy they want . The rapport that is developed can be very beneficial.

I ordered a custom car through the ED and got the 6% off with the ED program.... They obviously wouldnt combine it with the supplier program.... But because of the relationship developed through the order process I was able to get free Audi care and they also returned the cost of my Audi exclusive color due to a error during the order process.

Bottom line. If the dealer cares about the customer and getting a sale... They should be able to work with you

Back in October I bought a brand new 2012 Phantom Black S4. Sticker price was $52,650. I got it for $49,850. $350 over invoice. 5.3% discount off sticker. Audicare was another $850. No discounts allowed in the state of Florida.

I thought I did pretty well for myself considering I was told by several sales people that no one ever gets more than 3% off MSRP on an S4. I probably drove them so crazy that they did it just to get rid of me. Seriously.

Yeah, the dealer had this one on the lot, so when its in inventory its a little easier to negotiate. They also had 7 of them on the lot. But, thats really not that many considering they have over 125 new audi's on the lot at any given time. Huge dealership, which is probably why I got a good deal too.

Where have you heard this? I have been pushing my SA to get me a better rate, as of now I'm getting 3.9% on 60 months. He says it's because I have an 'A' credit rating and 2.9% requires an 'A+'. Never mentioned anything about 1.9%

I'm picking up a 2012 Phantom Black, Black/Red Nappa Leather, Carbon trim, alu optics, advanced key, and rear parking sensors on Friday! MSRP ~$55,500 I believe and got it at $51,500 before $1,500 for loyalty. So before taxes (only 3.2% in VA) final price of $50,000. I think it was a good deal. Black with black on red and carbon trim is exactly what I was looking for.

I had gotten pre-approval from my credit union and the sales guy asked my rate. I told him (was 3.24) and he said they could beat that. At the test drive a week ago he had told me 2.9. Today he said it was now 1.9 up to 66 months. I hope he was not mistaken.

I negotiated a price and pre-ordered my S4 last November and in January found out I qualified for the 6% off MSRP Audi Supplier Discount program. I called my sales guy and he said they wouldn't honor it for me. He justified his decision by some wording in the agreement where it states that the dealer doesn't have to honor the program on low volume cars. He said an S4 was a low volume car. I told him I would go to another dealer who said they would honor the program and order another car from them and within a day, he said he would sell me the car with the supplier program discount so as not to lose the sale on a car that was already being built according to my specifications. Mine was ~51k and I got it for ~48k.

I just checked with my dealer and they claim that there is no 1.9% available on the 2012 S4 right now. The reason I was given was geographic - sometimes these deals differ by region? Still sitting at 2.9%... does this really vary geographically?

Based on the dealer's statement regarding the 1.9 rate I submitted a credit app. I received an email saying that I was approved and will receive 1.9. Perhaps it is geographic.

If it's not through Audi Finance (not sure if that even exists) but the dealership would normally be able to help financing through a bank. My dealership got me 1.9% through Bank of America for 60 months. All paper work submitted through them.
