So I had some mild rim damage just on the outer part of my OEM Ti package rims and I took it in to get repaired.
The repair was free because I bought a wheel and tire package that would cover any wheel or tire repair/replacement for 5 years.
So I get the car back and the rim looks like new, but it now looks glossy compared to the other ones.
I'm guessing they threw a clear coat on them.
I'm gonna call the guy back Monday, but it's annoying.

It's because they actually paint the wheel. First weekend I had my car a valet guy in Atlantic City curbed both my wheels on the passenger side. I freaked out they ended up paying for the repairs and the wheel guys don't have the exact matching color but it's damn close. Luckily for me I can't tell because both my wheels on the same side were painted after they were repaired.

A good wheel repair shop will match the factory finish perfectly. I wouldn't be happy with anything less.

Yeah man. They painted your polished finish. It is fixable. But it usually involves breaking down the rim and tire to properly fix.

I had 2 of my Ti wheels curbed (me being dumb) and also brought them to the dealer to have them repaired.
Same situation, the entire machined aluminum part of the wheel looks like it was brush-painted with a clearcoat. Looks alright, but doesn't match the other two. I'm thinking about clearcoating my other 2 wheels so they all look the same lol

The part that bothers me is the grey inner part of the rim not the outer rim.
