apr stage 2+
milltek non res
apr full supercharger cooling system w/t power steering cooler
carbonio intakes
southbend clutch
93 octane mode - full tank of gas and about 50 lbs of tools in the trunk.
just a quick run once I figured out how to use the performance box. I'm going to be shooting for 0-60 in the 3.9 second range next weekend. unload the trunk, run the car almost out of gas, and get the launch perfect. I'm confident it will happen on 93 octane.
(sorry for the piss poor pic quality)

Nice run, I don't think you will have a problem getting under 4.0 with your setup. Good luck!

Good run. How are you liking the VBox?
thanks,
the vbox is a pretty interesting toy. seems pretty consistent. Theres endless preset modes and features, that can also be custom set as well. BUT, the really cool part is that all the normal stuff car guys want to know about the car is already pre-set and ready to use, and comes up on the first screen.
So I would give it a good initial review.
The only negative I could see to owning one is constantly beating on your car trying to beat your previous run. lol :)

Haha that's a great negative to have! I've been seriously considering picking one up. I just don't know if I really need to know all these stats after I do it once.

Thats a pretty good point.
I'm probably not the right guy to ask since I'm not known for making smart purchases. :) lol
you could be sure that all of your friends will want to borrow it as well !

OEM RS5 brakes made by Brembo
8 piston/365mm
I have many other mods to the car, but felt it was unnecessary to list them for what I was trying to convey in this thread.

100 octane run will be coming soon. but before that i am going to look to see what I could dig up with 93 octane and proper conditions.

By chance, do you know how far off the car speedo or VCDS reading is from the vbox?

I used my vag com to test 0-60 and 1/4 mile. It's been dead on to the track on every run so it's very accurate. I'm at 12.3@113 in the 1/4 and 0-60 in 3.9. Just me in the car, 33 degrees and full tank on gas. Nice numbers!

Great time. Just curious, what would you consider a "perfect launch" in the 6MT?

have you every driven a manual transmission ??
depending on the driver and the proper launch you can make up significant time. like .5 seconds to 60mph.
There is a tremendous amount of variables. how many rpm's you drop the clutch at, whether you side step the clutch or ride it some.
I would go on , but i'm not really sure if you are being serious.

DSG sure makes life easy. :)
I'm gonna go out this weekend for some more times. My new clutch only has about 900 miles on it, so I need to be sure I beat it up some before I really romp on it.
The forum has been crazy with time and tune comparisons lately from what Ive seen. I only did this for fun the other week to post to my friends on facebook. If I was looking to be competitive I would have probably took all my tools out of the trunk first. lol :)

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant to ask what your "perfect launch" technique would be in the B8 S4 with regards to RPM/clutch. I've only had mine a few months and it's my first experience with a high HP, manual, AWD car.
