So I just put new software and a new exhaust on my '08 A4 that has 40,000 miles on it. Obviously, the warranty is
voided and so I'm wondering where the best place to get a new warranty is. With the dealer? Or another company? If
it's not with the dealer, any suggestions? Thanks, good lookin out.

I think dealership's service APR equipped cars. What software do you have?

warranty is only voided if the dealer can prove the modification caused the problem. You might have to fight on this a bit.

thanks guys. I have four programs. Mostly just keep it on the 93 octane. Any advice on when the warranty does run out? Or if they do void the warranty? Thanks again.

If something goes wrong, you can always put it in Stock mode before bringing it in. Also, some dealerships are 'mod friendly' meaning they won't give you a hard time for mods on the car. As mentioned, they also need to be able to prove the tune caused the damage.

As was said, you warranty has NOT been voided. Legally they can only deny you service if they can prove that your modification caused the part being warrantied to fail. And even so, it's not 100%. For instance, if you went in with a bad wheel bearing, window regulator, busted glovebox, etc, they could not deny the claim because your car was chipped.
