I just got off the phone 5 mins ago with SON TRAN from onsite wheel repair. If you don't know who he is refer to my old thread here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/400932-Wheel-Repair-God!

I am finally planning a wheel repair day in about 2-3 weeks and want a head count of who would actually be interested.

please answer the poll accordingly so I know when and where to plan this.

and as always the more people we have the cheaper his rates will be.

Probably the largest, cleanest and empty parking lot available anytime during the day is the old Autobachs parking lot in Stanton, has shade parking and sun parking, and no traffic entering or exiting the lot.

Sexy! +1000 to Son for being able to match Sunken Treasure, so if anyone in so cal ends up getting that color, know that it can be fixed at an amazing cost if you do scrape it up! It did take some trial and error but in the end it came out perfect, with the color changing and everything, I am very pleased! I tried to talk Son into airbrushing a helmet for me, but I don't think he seemed too keen on that, haha =)

I still need to get him to confirm, but as of now, we are meeting at 1pm Sunday the 13th at the Corner Bakery/Sears parking lot at Michillinda/Foothill in Pasadena just off the 210.

The rim stays on the car, and the cost depends on the extent of the damage. I'd be surprised if he charges more than $100/rim - it'll likely be less. I'm pretty sure he's cash only.

Son repaired the wheel I damaged 3 days ago. Perfect timing. He did a great job. He was amazed how good my wheels were for 12 years and nearly 190K!

I still find it funny that everybody was running Ventus V12s. LOL! For sure, that convinced me to be my next summer tire, and give Hankooks one more chance.

I was on Michelin Pilot Super Sports..got em for $20 more per tire than V12's and they are much better (at least definitely more than $20 per tire better)..They were on sale at the time but the new Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2's have been released recently and they are currently on sale too..They were a bit cheaper than V12's but I think V12's just went on sale too so they may be even cheaper now. The old GY F1 Asymmetric were rated just above V12's and every review of the A2's says they are considerably better than their predecessor. Just an FYI for anyone interested in summer tires but I agree V12's are tough to beat at normal retail prices.
