Hey guyz im currently on 205-55-16 and i was wondering if anyone ever put on 225-60 tires? Cause someone gave me a car with these tires on and they are pretty good winter tires. You guyz think i'll hit control arms? Im on stock sport suspension. Thanks!

If you go wider tire and taller side wall you end up with a much taller tire. 225/60/16 is 26.6" tall, your 205/55/16 is 24.9" tall which is right at the 25" that you want. Correct size tire would be a 225/50/16 which is 24.85" tall. I don't think the 225/60/16 is going to clear the rear control arms.

I dont know if its a mistake but i currently have 205-55-16 and not 15 does it change anything to what you mean? or you really meants 205-55-16 but wrote 205-55-15 ?

im scared that spacers would clear the control arms but make the tire rub on the inner fenderwell...

Yeah, no.

That tire is too tall by quite a bit. My brother is running about the tallest tire you can get away with - a 205/65/15. They are used tires and are tall enough that they would probably rub if they were new. Those tires are 25.5 inches tall. The size you mentioned is a full inch taller that. So I'm going to say no. Those won't clear the rear suspension upright.

Sorry I put 15 by mistake, all of the numbers I posted were for 16" wheels. Spacers aren't going to help clear the uprights in the rear. Spacers help when running a wheel with the wrong offset.
