I used the following DIY http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/413591-DIY-Gas-tank-problems-Evap-Canister-Leak-Detection-pump but I wanted to add a few more things.
1. I would use fuel rated hoses, it would be good to use hoses that will last with the gas fumes that will be getting in there.
2. You can also use the studs and rubber grommets that were on the canister so that the cover bolts on without the need of any washers or spacers as suggested.
3. Use brass, bronze or Stainless Steel T fitting vs. plastic, you will get longevity and the price will not break you.
So far all systems are working normal. I just need to fuel up to ensure this was the smoking gun to my clicking off at the pump issue and the "CEL".
Once I had the parts apart the only thing a noticed was how hard it was to blow into the small attached
filter.
