This is kind of a long one but I hope someone can help me out here. I have a 2005.5 3.2 with xenons, the previous owner set the lights to Euro so no amber and city lights enabled. a while ago one of the city bulbs went dead and fried the socket so I've had a "right parking light out" warning in my dash every day. turns out prev owner used the wrong wattage bulbs so the socket is toast. I did some research and thought maybe returning the vag-com setting for the lights back to USA would disable the city bulbs and hopefully stop the bulb out warning on the dash... I did this tonite at a local audi shop who loaned me their laptop w vag-com. Setting was 1021 so I changed it back to the US default of 1023 and it seemed to work as the ambers are back on but the city light is still on??? and I still get the bulb out warning.
So is the city lights enabled from the factory in US models? I thought it was a Euro only thing? If this is the case then does anyone know where I can get a part number for the city bulb socket? I've tried searching online for it before but all I've found are the DRL sockets... no city sockets which are much smaller.
Any ideas? the bulb out X symbol on my dash with the annoying warning sound is driving me nuts!!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
