I drive my car about 100+ miles a day looking for a nice coilover setup. Ive had ohlins before they were really nice but just to much for me to spend now. Looking at the stasis street sport kit. Just wondering if there is anything else out there I should be comparing?

Other ones I was looking at was the FK coilovers but havent heard much about them at all.. they do look really nice and are corrosion resistant.

a friend had the stasis on his b6, and they road like shit. although we have suspitions that they were blown. i have vmaxx on my b6 and they ride alright, but handle terribly. i am going with vogtland on my b7 in the spring time. i have heard nothing but positive reviews about them and they are fairly priced on purems.com.

I'm interested in this, too. This is my first winter outside of Florida and I want coilovers. I've always had just lowering springs or air suspension, so the only thing I can think of is just having good anti-corrosion stuff on the body threads. I'd like to know which coilovers are good for street use, though. The ST's are like $799 from AMI...any thoughts on these as far as for a daily driver?

I would think if you are gonna go through any serious winters where salt is used you are gonna want something with a good warranty. I believe the ST's only have a 5 year.

Hi Jason,
I have the Stasis SS and I must have done 3 Quebec winters with them now and so far so good. Also the roads are bad in Quebec and I ride 19" wheels and the ride is not so bad, I would say pretty sport suspension like. I only wish they were a little stiffer for taking turns faster but they are a nice improvement over stock pared with RS4 sway bar.

X2 I have the same setup, great rice quality, and SS's have a lifetime warranty.

Interesting, the fixed damping coils are only $940. The ST coils are $800 shipped. If the Vogtland's have linear springs like it shows in the photo on purems.com, I'm sold. The ST's have progressive springs just like the KWs have. Plus it seems they have a 10 year warranty on the dampers and a lifetime warranty on the shocks.

I also run Stasis SS in the miserable PA winters and have no problem with them

i believe they are progressive on the fixed damper coils. however, reviews ive read said that the ride is still very comfortable. a friend had them on his car for a short time and loved them. he got in an accident and i wanted to buy them but one was bent [:(]

I run FK Silverline Plus X coils and love them. Everyone that has ridden in my car can't believe it's on coils. The only thing is that they go STUPID low. I am spun almost completely up and sit at 25 inches FTG. Only point to that is that I do get some coil bind from time to time.

I dont know how well the ST's will stand up in the winter(about to find out lol) but they ride great for a DD, then again i dont have much but stock to compare them too. And im sure the ride would be better if you dont go as low as you possibly can. The price is what sold me.

Love my KW V1s. They definately get a little stiff/bouncy when it's really cold out, but they have treated me very well in auto-x, and dd. Bought them used for half price (800ish.)

ST's are great as well if you're looking for a quality coilover with a good price.
Shock bodies are made of galvanized steel and then zinc plated to resist corrosion, we have them available below!

I got the Vogtlands because of corrosion resistance and ease of adjustment come winter time and need a little more ground clearance.

I'm looking to upgrade my suspension as well. I'd like coilovers that are plenty fine for DD, but "good to go" for track use as I do about 3-5 track days a year. I drive a 2007 A4.

vogtland!
deffinatly not vmaxx. and ive also heard ST's are great for the price but also not great in terms of handling. better than stock/vmaxx but not the best. i have no personal experience with ST's thought and thats just from reading forums.
