Anyone here ported and polished the heads? What kind of gains did u get?

What about with the K04? Actually the Dahlback Racing K04. It should make about 25-30 more horses than a normal K04

I'd say there are noticeable gains because neuspeed with their kits both super K04 and regular K04 had an extrude honed exhaust manifold or an option for it. The Dahlback K04 is probably like the super K04 so the gains would be worth it. Not sure about actual numbers regarding stock manifold vs. ported manifold.

lol, yeah head and mani are two different things.

i think a ported and polished head would give noticable gains with anything.

From my understanding the 1.8T head flows so well out of the box....that a port and polish will only hurt low end torque. I would think a light polish would be bennifcial though. Also the 97-99.5 AEB head is supposed to be the best flowing head out of all years.

I wouldn't F- with this until you really look at the whole effect. talk to someone that know the engine (mike2ptzero prbly has experience here).

^^^What he said is true. A friend does porting and polishing on VW/Audi's and said the very same thing.
